PRESS RELEASE
SILVERIO – YEPA YEPA YEPA

Private Concert: Thursday 6th of March, 7:00 PM
RSVP. Entrance only with invitation.

24/7 is pleased to announce the start of its 2003 season presenting a one night show by Mexican super star sensation Silverio.

‘Silverio’ plays electrocheesy breakbeats dressed with distinctive elegance, fine jewelry, and cheap cowboy designer boots. His masculine presence drives American, Latin American and European girls and women crazy. Silverio with his magical synthesizer sings to love and beautiful things.

Silverio’s first record is produced and distributed by Suave Records (www.suaverec.com). Silverio has presented his amazing one-man show in the KW in Berlin and the ICA in London among other venues. He has collaborated with several artists; these include video and musical performances with Miguel Calderón and music for the wrestling matches of Carlos Amorales. Julian Lede (aka Silverio) was born in Argentina in 1971, he lives and works in Mexico City.

Silverio’s concert will also mark the opening of 24/7’s new offices, located at Unit 8, Building 11, Long Street, London E2 8HJ (between Kingsland and Hackney Road, nearest tube Old Street). There will be a kitchen bar during the concert.

24/7 is a low budget gallery, which used to be an exhibition platform working with young Latin American artists living in London and abroad whose work questioned the conventional clichés and representations of cultural production from Latin America. Its main projects were the Wall Gallery and the Traveling Gallery. 24/7-Wall Gallery used the exterior wall of a house located at London’s East End as an exhibition site. The 24/7-Travelling Gallery takes place in different venues, galleries and specific locations.

24/7 now exhibits whatever, whenever, wherever.
